The University of Michigan’s Master of Urban Design Program was invited by Istanbul Konut, Inc. to present a vision for New Istanbul.  Professor Roy Strickland and 15 students made a trip to the site and developed design, plan, and program concepts for a new global city for Turkey along the Black Sea near the Bosphorus Strait.  It covers 74 square kilometers with a residential population of 3 million people.

The animation, "Center of Centers" was prepared for the final presentation for Istanbul Konut, Inc. at the Taubman College of Urban Planning and Architecture building of The University of Michigan in December, 2007.

It simulates the overlooking fly-over view of New Istanbul and presents concept images district by district, day and night, and for divers activities.

I teamed up with Qian Li and Sarfaraz Momin for the last stage visual / animation work.  We built out the 3-D modeling and created the final view renderings as well as produced the 3 minute animation video clip.
