New single family house for a couple and a teenage daughter. A traditional-modern, southern style, two-story wood frame residential building with a covered porch and screened patio. We worked with the owner to provide a customized design solution in program layout and aesthetics: a master suite on level 1 along with his office, her hobby room, pet room, living room and kitchen; minimum square footage on upper level with only a bonus space above the garage for two bedrooms and bathroom, making it very efficient in construction cost budget. The result is a quasi-ranch-style home in program approach, but with 3-dimensional visual and spatial experiences including the double-story open living space that stretches from the front foyer to the rear deck.
